The Trophy

The trophy stands proud and beautiful
Beams with pride but is sometimes bashful
Knowing the love of the athlete

The trophy is loved by all
Even down a stranger hall
And by all who loved the athlete

The athlete was-
Bright
A facinating man-
Of talent
And with ways to get the trophy

Although the athlete and trophy were compatible
No love can truly be given to the other
A relationship like no other
